A REVIEW AND ANALYSIS OF THE MEDICINAL PROPERTIES OF TURMERIC

Turmeric is an herbaceous evergreen plant in the Zingiberaceae (ginger) family. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is extensively used as a spice, food preservative and colouring material in India, China and South East Asia. Turmeric powder is best known as one of the main ingredients used to make the curry spice; it also gives ballpark mustard its bright yellow colour. Apart from its culinary uses, turmeric has been used widely in the traditional medicine all over the world. Curcumin (diferuloylmethane), the main yellow bioactive component of turmeric has been shown to have a wide spectrum of biological actions. These include its antiinflammatory, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, anticoagulant, antifertility, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antiviral, antifibrotic, antivenom, antiulcer, hypotensive and hypocholesteremic activities. For traditional Ayurvedics, turmeric plant was an excellent natural antiseptic, disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic, while at the same time the plant has been often used to aid digestion, to improve intestinal flora, and to treat skin irritations.

COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE QUALITY OF DERIVATIVE INTERLOCK KNITWEAR

In order to study the influence of structure on the quality characteristics of two-layer knitwear and to maximize the use of technological capabilities of flat knitting machines, structures and methods for obtaining new variants of derivative interlock knitwear have been developed. It has been established that the lowest material consumption and the best quality indicators of the produced knitted fabrics of derivative interlock weave are possessed by the IV-variant.

Chronic obliterating diseases of the arteries of the lower extremities (CVD) account for more than 20% of all CVD types, which corresponds to 2–3% of the total population [9,17,25]. The incidence of diseases increases significantly in the elderly and senile: 0.3% of people aged 30 to 40 years, 1% of people aged 40 to 50 years, 2-3% of people aged 50 to 60 years, and 5-7% of people aged 70 and older [22,27]. According to authoritative publications and the results of modern large population-based studies (PANDORA, 2012; Russian Consensus Document, 2016), the prevalence of peripheral arterial disease varies from 5.8% in the United States and 7% in Russia, respectively, to 12.2% and 22.9% in France and Italy. In the United States [7,11], about 10% of people over 55 years of age have an asymptomatic form of CLD, and symptoms of intermittent claudication are noted in 5% of individuals.

The article deals with the problems of the environment, ecology of the modern world. Since today in the world there is an extremely unfavorable ecological situation: forests are dying, rivers are becoming shallow, seas are becoming poorer, surface, underground and sea waters, atmospheric air are being polluted, soils are being polluted and depleted, various species of animals and plants are disappearing, the number of man-made and technological accidents and disasters is increasing. This is manifested in the current qualitative growth of cooperation between subjects of international law. It is the international legal mechanisms for regulating the activities of states and international organizations aimed at preserving the human environment through the prevention, reduction and maximum possible limitation of adverse impacts on nature in unity with national legal measures that open the way to achieving harmony between society and nature. In solving this problem, on the way to reducing the global environmental problem, a comparative analysis of the environmental legislation of the countries of the world is of practical importance. This work concerns the identification of similarities and differences in the environmental legislation of Uzbekistan, the CIS countries, Central Asia, as well as the United Kingdom, Canada and the Netherlands and is aimed at applying positive foreign experience in the field of environmental protection in Uzbek legislative practice, taking into account the existing trends in the world and the outlined guidelines.
